With some trees, the seeds from the tree get embedded into the soil in the lawn’s turf. This stops lawn production and lawn growth and could create weeds. A dethatched lawn application betters the lawn appearance by lifting those seeds from the lawn’s turf and lifting other tree debris along with other plant materials and dead grass that can get trapped in the lawn’s turf. This can be done manually with a rake and shovel or using a mechanical dethatcher lawn unit. A mechanical dethatcher lawn unit removes embedded tree seeds, rocks, nuts, pinecones, and other embedded grasses and small tree limbs.
In some cases, aerate the lawn first, before dethatching. This causes thatch materials to rise to the lawn’s surface over time, then thatcher materials are easier to remove…doing this along with regular raking up or sweeping up and removal of tree debris.
When to Sweep – GreenSweep Brand Lawn Sweeper Unit (#commearned)
Sweep when debris is visible on outdoor surfaces during the lawn maintenance season.
Lawn push sweeper units remove un-embedded leaves and debris from the top of lawn and other outdoor surfaces, like cobblestone or concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, and outdoor pathways.
Using this broom will tidy up both indoor and outdoor surfaces when regular sweeping is needed in the house, on patio, and in yard. Use two brooms, one for indoor surfaces and one for outdoor surfaces.
